This is odd. I guess the ebay seller had 8 pictures put together as one image. If you click the image you can see it in a larger format.

The one that interests me is the third one down on the left. I like the pattern of those circles, which could be pillows, placemats, cat beds, frisbees?...

I also like the colors of the top one a lot, should remember them for other projects.

Fleisher 1939 Afghan magazine

According to ebay seller kept4u, these afghans are from Fleisher Afghans, Vol. 58 pattern book. The 22 page book has a 1939 copyright by Fleisher Yarns, Inc. Most of the patterns in the book are crochet, there is only one knitting pattern. Patterns in the book include:

• French Brocade
• Tapestry Bouquet
• Knitted Ripple
• Pine Tree
• Autumn Leaf

I like the knit stitch on the pink one and the blue one is an interesting visual effect.

Crochet sweater idea

This is from a vintage 70s crochet magazine, sold on ebay by kate e didit, who sellls these books a lot.

This sweater really the only pattern I likein the book, but maybe I can figure out how to make a sweater like this on my own.

Daffodil Doily

This is another scanned crochet pattern sold on ebay. Seller is greengablessales.

These flower doilys (doilies?) intrigue me, though I really have no use for them.

Winnie! And some other dog in a tie.

This pattern was on ebay. The sellers "store" is called Annalaia Patterns and Designs. This is a scanned pattern, it seems she relists the items she has scanned often. Today it was $4.35.

I could learn a lot making this! And its cute.

The pattern to make this was on ebay, in a booklet of patterns "from Annie's Attic."

I'm bidding on the book - we'll see where that leads.

PS - I figured out the name of the book. Its called Year-Round Scraps Aplenty. Published by Annie's Attic.

Hi-Fi Companions Afghan

From Columbia Minerva Afghan Book 722 as posted on www.freevintagecrochet.com.

Uses worsted weight yarn and a "Boye" Aluminum Crochet Hook "J" (Size 9)

Gauge: 1 Pattern (3 Sts.) to 1 inch
Pattern Stitch: (Multiple of 3 ch. plus 1)

Ch. desired length.

Row 1--With Color 1, 1 S.C. in 2nd Ch from hook, 1 D.C. in next Ch., 1 Tr.C. in next Ch., *1 S.C. in next Ch., 1 D.C. in next Ch., 1 Tr.C in next Ch., repeat from * to end of row, drop yarn but do not break.

Row 2--Draw Color 2 through loop on hook. Ch. 1, *1 S.C. in Tr. C. of previous row, 1 D.C. in next St., 1 Tr. C. in next St. (S.C. of previous row), repeat from * to end of row, drop yarn, but do not break.

Row 3--Draw Color 3 through loop on hook, Ch. 1 and work same as Row 2.

Row 4--Draw Color 1 through loop on hook and work same as Row 2. Repeat Rows 2, 3 and 4 for Pattern.

Crochet Flower

Another garland idea...

This corkscrew scarf is part of a 2 scarf pattern called "Cool Warmth" at www. crochetme.com.

It looks awfully easy! Like the crochet garland below, it too could be a home decoration.

In this pattern a size I crochet hook was used and the yarn was Tilli Tomas "Mogul" yarn which is wool, with glass beads on it. Available at www.dreamweaveryarns.com a site I want to explore too.

Corkscrew

The corkscrew is worked lengthwise and is formed by making large picots. The length is determined by the foundation chain.

Scarf shown is 60”.

Foundation: Make a chain the length you’d like your scarf to be.

Picot Edging: Ch 7, sc in 1st ch from hook, *ch 7, sc in next ch; rep from * to end of ch.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Crochet Spiral Garland

This could be fun. I can imagine it in gold on a Christmas tree.
