Gauge: 1 Pattern (3 Sts.) to 1 inch
Pattern Stitch: (Multiple of 3 ch. plus 1)
Ch. desired length.
Row 1--With Color 1, 1 S.C. in 2nd Ch from hook, 1 D.C. in next Ch., 1 Tr.C. in next Ch., *1 S.C. in next Ch., 1 D.C. in next Ch., 1 Tr.C in next Ch., repeat from * to end of row, drop yarn but do not break.
Row 2--Draw Color 2 through loop on hook. Ch. 1, *1 S.C. in Tr. C. of previous row, 1 D.C. in next St., 1 Tr. C. in next St. (S.C. of previous row), repeat from * to end of row, drop yarn, but do not break.
Row 3--Draw Color 3 through loop on hook, Ch. 1 and work same as Row 2.
The corkscrew is worked lengthwise and is formed by making large picots. The length is determined by the foundation chain.
Scarf shown is 60”.
Foundation: Make a chain the length you’d like your scarf to be.
Picot Edging: Ch 7, sc in 1st ch from hook, *ch 7, sc in next ch; rep from * to end of ch.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
